According to The Michael Report, Apple is is already mass-producing the iPad Air 2 ahead of the October 16 media event, and the device will feature some minor changes.
The new iPad will feature a “fully-laminated display,” similar to the iPhone 6, which means it will be thinner than the current iPad Air by 0.5mm. Apple will most likely market it as the thinnest tablet available.
When it comes to hardware, the iPad Air 2 is going to feature an A8 processor and 2GB of RAM. We will have three storage options to choose from – 32, 64, or 128GB. Apparently, the 16GB model is not going to be available anymore. According to the report, the new iPad will feature a Touch ID, 8-megapixel rear camera, and FaceTime HD front-facing camera. Most of these changes will affect Retina iPad mini as well, although The Michael Report says that this iPad model will still be available in a 16GB version.
