Apple’s iOS 8 has yet to be announced, and we already have what appears to be a screenshot of the upcoming operating system. The image showcasing several new apps has been posted on a Weibo account today, and multiple sources for 9to5mac claim that this image is legitimate. While iOS 7 came with a major design overhaul, the upcoming iOS 8 will be more focused on new features and apps.
Probably the most interesting new app is reportedly called Healthbook, and it will help users track different information like steps taken, calories burned, and possibly things like heart rate and blood pressure. If you’re a Mac user then you are no stranger to the next two applications – Preview and TextEdit. However, it appears that these apps will not be full-blown mobile versions of their Mac counterparts, but will instead help users view Preview and TextEdit files that are stored in iCloud. Finally there’s an app called Tips, which is probably some sort of a user guide.
