If you just bought your first MacBook you are probably not familiar with the option to enable tap to click on your MacBook’s trackpad. By default, you have to press the trackpad with your finger, which will act as a click (equivalent to a left mouse button). It is highly recommended that you enable tap to click, as it is far more convenient to tap, then having to press down on your trackpad every time you need to click.
To enable tap to click first open System Preferences from your Dock, and then click on the Trackpad icon. You will notice that Tap to click option is not selected. Simply select this option and you’re set. You can check out the video tutorial below for detailed step-by-step instructions.
