Apple today unveiled its new, completely redesigned MacBook. It features a 12-inch screen with a Retina display. At 13.1mm, it is company’s thinnest MacBook ever. It is also the lightest MacBook ever, coming in at only two pounds. It is available in three colors – standard aluminum, space gray and gold.
The display features a resolution of 2,304 x 1,440 pixels, which nearly double the resolution found on MacBook Air. The new resolution will undoubtedly make text and graphic elements of the operating system and applications a much more pleasant sight for the eyes.
The new MacBook is also fanless, features a completely redesigned keyboard, as well as a new and an improved trackpad.
Internally, it is powered by an Intel Core M dual-core processor. Besides the headphone jack, the 12-inch MacBook features only one USB 3.1 type C port that delivers device’s power, enables data transfer and HDMI/VGA capabilities. Apple’s latest MacBook starts at $1,299 and will start shipping on April 10.
