Apple released iOS 8.0.1 to the public about an hour ago, but the update has already been pulled. The update was supposed to fix a variety of bugs, but has actually caused more problems. Numerous users have reported that cellular functions and Touch ID are no longer working on their devices after updating to iOS 8.0.1. This problem appears to be confined to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models.

Shortly after the release, Apple has pulled the update and issued the following statement: ”We are actively investigating these reports … In the meantime we have pulled back the iOS 8.0.1 update.”
